SHARJAH, January 3, 2023 (WAM) — The Sharjah Exhibition Center (ECS) has announced the completion of all preparations for the 18th edition of the SteelFab exhibition (SteelFab 2023), the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region.<\/p>\n

The event is organized by ECS, with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), from January 9-12. Two hundred exhibitors have confirmed their participation representing the local and international elite of the metalworking industry.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will feature state-of-the-art innovations from more than 400 leading global brands in metal forming, fabrication, welding, pipe making equipment and tools, finished sheet metal preparation, and other technologies and systems used in lifting and material handling operations in various industries.<\/p>\n

The event provides an opportunity for companies and plants seeking cutting-edge technologies in machinery, prefabricated structural steel equipment, steel fabrication machines, artificial intelligence robots, and other efficient and safe processing solutions for sheet metal and metal section manufacturing.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, supported by major international steel industry unions and federations, coincides with the Fasteners World Middle East exhibition, specializing in industrial fasteners, assembly and installation systems and fastener manufacturing technologies, warehousing and logistics services.<\/p>\n

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of ECS, said, “SteelFab is the leading and largest event of its kind in the region. ECS will witness a new and distinctive version this year as part of our efforts to strengthen the position and importance of the exhibition for global, regional and local industry leaders, to make the event an annual meeting place for presenting the latest advanced equipment, new products and applications, and to exchange experiences and opinions among local and international experts.<\/p>\n

The exhibition, he said, will promote the iron and steel industry in Sharjah and support the goals of the “300 billion project,” which aims to develop and stimulate the industrial sector in the UAE and increase its share of GDP to AED300 billion by the year 2031.<\/p>\n

Sultan Shattaf, Director of ECS’s sales and marketing department, said that the exhibition will witness the launch of the Best Welder competition, in addition to holding many sessions and seminars that will shed light on the future of the steel industry.<\/p>\n

“The event will also give its visitors the opportunity to see and test the latest devices and equipment during presentations and live displays of the latest technologies and innovations in the metal forming and fabrication industry,” he noted.<\/p>\n
